sometimes kathleen speaks to you, you know, in
some eerie teenage flashback real-life dream sequence
and youre like yeah i totally know what you mean
in this
im-too-tired-for-a-revolution sortof way, and
in reds and blues strobing around my curler-clad
head resting on bathrobed body all i can hear
is ive got this thing thats been going
around called please pretend im out of town okay?
and its brilliant, right, because its so
colloquial and dance-able and true. and
really, truly, what else can you say that about?

you make me want to crochet (rollerskate booties)!
