you and i are never shouting, just
sorry-voices and sometimes i get high-pitched like
when i'm trying to make what i consider an especially
important point but more often i'm just rambling,
letting things tumble off my tongue which i will
often do about people but rarely do
to them because i want this to be
nothing if not correct, because things are so rarely correct that
i am usually astounded to read a printed paragraph with no mistakes,
dumbfounded by conversations where things are clearly put and understood.
i want it to be correct because above everything else (romance
self respect grammar honesty courtesy tact decorum
tolerance) i value accuracy.
