this has been a long time coming. and by
long time i mean two or three days, but i just
love it when peoples pseudo-inner-monologues make me think:
i have had the exact same quandry when falling in
love with certain authors - the feeling that they are so effing dastardly
in creating characters that we take pride in identifying with
when, in fact [and its painfully obvious that],
we should absolutely not feel a kinship with them if
we are at all kind, charitable people. maybe its just
that everyone fancies themselves so tragic and fashionable as holden and esther
and whoever else, or maybe its that some people have a way with
plucking out the inherent flaws of particular age groups and writing entire
novels based solely on the results of being adolescently insane but attractive.

i mean. it doesnt keep me from loving them. really,
theyre usually my favorites.
just like everybody else.
