things i learned last night
by astrid
1. i am a serious lightweight when it comes to drinking.
as in: one [dreadfully strong, in my own defense]
mai tai and i dissolved into a paranoid mess who
was unable to focus correctly and hence, squinted at everyone
before erupting into giggles, then asking - apparently -
if i was being inappropriate. this is apparent only because
my friends paid close attention; i have close to no
recollection of any such things.
in happier news, timothy and i may have found a wee cottage to move into
come november. halleluia for my mothers eagle-eyed classified reading.
1/2 oz light or dark rum
1/2 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Almond Sugar Syrup
1/2 oz real grenadine syrup
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tsp pineapple juice
Fresh pineapple spear, for garnish
Put a large handful of ice in a cocktail shaker. Add rum,
Cointreau, almond syrup, grenadine, lime juice,
and pineapple juice. Shake well and strain into
a chilled old-fashioned glass of ice. Garnish with
a pineapple spear and serve with 1 or 2 straws.
ugh. never again.
