you're right; it is closer to the belt. maybe things
change as we get older; maybe we naturally
conceal more and open up to fewer. maybe forthright at
twenty four is less charming than forthright at
nineteen or twenty when we started, or it could be just as
you said: too many ghosts meandering around,
bumping into things they might never have known
if it weren't for bookmarks and search engines.
part of me loves the checking in, the interest
they'd never own up to and that's probably why i still do it
(besides you and some other reasons), but
the other part hates being so accessible, so
available for judgement.
