spent with someone you don't know, too much
vulnerability to stomach from a stranger.
i tend to assume that anything written well
must be written sincerely - feelings felt,
experiences at the very least imagined wholeheartedly, but
maybe that isn't true, maybe it's what
separates real writers from aspiring ones, the detail
everyone who's won a pulitzer leaves out of interviews,
that they were guessing at the feelings,
just stringing together words that sounded nice next to one another.
